An unobstructed view of the magnificent mountains; a tranquil environment where party goers do not disturb the peace; and access to ski slopes only a stone's throw away. Out the front door, and you step into the middle of a mountain meadow. Saaserhof, a respite from your routine.
One step to the front door and you are in the middle of a mountain meadow. In addition, the annoying everyday sounds at home do with the fact that Saas-Fee is car-free and the cars remain outside of the village in the car park. The Journey - Make this an experience
Take time to plan the trip to Saas-Fee. In summer, this is not a thing. In the winter, but worth a second look.
The winter-car (winter tires, snow chains, winter safe fluids, battery with a good charge level) are a prerequisite to experience snow and winter temperatures no bad surprises. If you arrive by public transport, you can expect a sufficient time for the relevant transfer of a travel agent to another. Does the planning, the drive through the magnificent mountain scenery will take place for vacation.
Visitors travelling by train travel to Brig or Visp and change to the post bus with the direct destination 'Saas-Fee'. There are half hourly connections www.sbb.ch/de/fahrplan.html
Check your luggage in at your local station and collect it at the bus station at the Saas Valley post offices.
NEAT - with the express onto the ski slopes. With the opening of the Lötschberg base tunnel, visitors travelling through Switzerland from the north can benefit from a reduced travelling time by one hour
From the north, drive via Berne through the Lötschberg Tunnel (car-train), from the west by motorway (Vevey, Martigny, Sierre), from the east over the Oberalp Pass (during the winter months possible by car-train, however reservations are required) and Furka (car-train), and from the south via the Simplon Pass to the Valais. After a 30-minute drive, you arrive at a large parking area at the entry of Saas-Fee. In the village of Saas-Fee, no cars are allowed.
